Bug #10813
closedVM creation through hammer on ESX does not consider specific NIC type
Description
New VM creation on ESX does not consider the specified NIC type. This issue occurs only through hammer CLI, web client works fine.
Issue is related to Bug#4307.
Command used:
hammer -v --show-ids host create --name mkforeman2 --hostgroup-id 1 --operatingsystem-id 6 --subnet-id 6 --compute-resource-id 13 --provision-method build --compute-attributes cpus="1",memory_mb="2048",cluster="hedvigcl2" --volume="size_gb=30,datastore=ds-esxi55d-a" --architecture-id 1 --domain-id 1 --root-password Dobvus12 --partition-table-id 1 --interface="network=VLAN20,NIC type=VMXNET 3" --medium-id 7
It still creates vm with E1000 instead of VMXNET3.

Could you please re-test on a newer release? We're not supporting 1.5.3 any more. Please try 1.8.1 and Hammer 0.2.0.
