Bug #17447
closedKatello 3.2 upgrade instructions erroneous URL
Description
This issue is in regards to this page: https://theforeman.org/plugins/katello/3.2/upgrade/index.html.
In section labelled 'Step 3 - Repositories', the URL to upgrade the kallelo-repos-latest.rpm for both RHEL6/CentOS6 and RHEL7/CentOS7 seems incorrect. It's missing the 3.2 directory. It should be:
https://fedorapeople.org/groups/katello/releases/yum/3.2/katello/el6/x86_64/katello-repos-latest.rpm
In addition...maybe I should submit a separate ticket, but I get an error after upgrading to the katello-repos-latest and foreman repositories. Running 'yum -y update' gives me this:
--> Processing Dependency: sclo-ror42-runtime for package: tfm-runtime-3.2-2.el6.x86_64
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
Error: Package: tfm-rubygem-logging-1.8.2-4.el6.noarch (foreman)
Requires: sclo-ror42-rubygem(multi_json) >= 1.8.4
There are more dependency errors...this is just an excerpt.

I was able to get a bit further by installing the 'centos-release-scl' software collections package. Maybe this should be included in the install rpm packages/scripts.
I'm now encountering an error with some Ruby Gem related packages:
Error: Package: tfm-rubygem-tire-0.6.2-2.el6.noarch (@katello)
Requires: tfm-rubygem(ansi)
Removing: tfm-rubygem-ansi-1.4.3-6.el6.noarch (@foreman)
tfm-rubygem(ansi) = 1.4.3
Obsoleted By: tfm-runtime-3.2-2.el6.x86_64 (foreman)

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
I'm running CentOS 6.8.
