Hi,

I'm filling this ticket as a result of a discussion with mmoll on IRC.

Foreman 1.13.0 from git.

When choosing OS for the new host we are seeing much more operating system entries than we have in database .
This behaviour started probably after unmanaging approx. 300 hosts.

mmoll | jindraj: feels to me as the filling of the dropdown with data is the problem - I assume the operatingsystems page in the UI looks like the ERB output
  • I appended a screenshot to this issue showing how chooser for operating systems looks like.

This is first issue I am reporting here on the foreman redmine. If there is some missing information just tell me. I'll do my best to provide everything needed.

23:37:44           mmoll | jindraj: oh, now that I'm seeing the screenshot... the nodes you unmanaged are EC2 nodes?

23:40:00           mmoll | allright, please add that to the issue then, I think the issue might originate from the connection between the AMI and the OS
