Bug #2295
closedVM's with long domain names fail to launch in RHEV
Status:

Target version:

Description
If a VM name exceeds 47 characters (RHEV says 48, but I've counted twice and come up with 47) RHEV will refuse to launch it. Foreman needs to be intelligent enough to truncate the name so it can still launch the vm and proceed normally. Otherwise things get in a weird state where Foreman thinks it's launching the VM and in reality nothing is happening.

Closing this issue since in ovirt 4.3 you can apply more chars (I've tested it with 60 chars and it worked)
